Challenge Brain Cancer - Amazing Race is a team-building activity that takes inspiration from the popular reality TV show. This year we’re proud to be partnering with Tailored Team Building who will be facilitating both the event at Westfield Geelong.

Create a team with your family, friends or colleagues and work together to solve puzzles and riddles, completing fun games and testing your general knowledge. The Amazing Race is designed for all types and abilities to challenge your skills and teamwork, no experience necessary.

As a team, you’ll also work together to fundraise for Peace of Mind Foundation. Winners of the Westfield Geelong challenge will receive a $2000 Westfield gift card and the highest fundraising team overall will receive a $1000 gift card.

Race the clock and make a difference to the lives of Australians with brain cancer!

 

 

DATE: Saturday 26th October 2024

TIME: 9.30am registration - 10am race start

LOCATION: Westfield Geelong

95 Malop Street, Geelong, Victoria

ABOUT:

Teams will race around Westfield Geelong, completing challenges designed to test your teamwork, having fun along the way. You’ll be solving puzzles and riddles, completing physical tasks or testing your general knowledge.

It could be a basic logic puzzle or a 30 second cheer routine with pom poms – be ready for anything!

 

 

HOW TO REGISTER A TEAM

  • Gather three - four friends, family members, colleagues or sporting teammates.

  • Decide on a team name.

  • Register below to complete a team registration page and add your team's name and a photo.

  • Share your fundraising page to your social media channels, workplace or sports club and see your donations grow.

 

Raise over $250 to receive a free t-shirt and cap.

 

 
 

THE CHALLENGE  

  • Each challenge will be judged and awarded points based on accuracy and time activity is completed in.

  • Winning the challenge will depend both on the total points score and time taken to fully complete the course.

  • No mobile phones or other devices can be used to find locations or complete challenges.

  • The race will take you through some of Westfield Geelong’s most popular stores.

  • Registration is free and when you sign up, you’ll receive a personalised fundraising page that you can share by email or on your social networks.  

  • When you register you will be asked whether you would like to join or create a team. Once you have set up or joined your team page, you can then share the link with family and friends and invite them to join. 

  • No but if you are under 18 you must have parent/guardian supervision at all times (including while participating in the online event.)

  • Thank you for taking up the challenge to fundraise for Brain Cancer. 

    • Make sure you share your fundraising page with family and friends, so they know you are participating in the challenge. You can start receiving donations as soon as you have registered.  

    • We would love to see your Challenge Brain Cancer photos - don’t forget to tag us using #challengebraincancer

  • Yes, provided you have support or other members in your team to assist with completing challenges.

  • o After registering for the challenge, a personal fundraising page will automatically be created for you on the Challenge Brain Cancer website.

    o You can then share the link to this page on your social media platforms or directly with family and friends (via email or text message for example).

    o Your family and friends can click on the link, see your progress and make a donation to support you in the challenge.

    o All payments made online through your page will go directly to Peace of Mind Foundation – there is no need for you to do anything.

  • If your fundraising reaches over $250 we will send you a special t shirt and cap to proudly wear to show your support.

    Prizes are on offer for the highest fundraiser.

  • The main goal is to fundraise so that we can help as many families as possible living with a brain cancer diagnosis. How much you raise is completely up to you, but every dollar counts and goes directly to families needing our help.

  • Yes, all donations made in Australia over $2 are tax deductible. Donations made online on your personal fundraising page will automatically be emailed a receipt.

  • Fundraising pages will remain open for donations indefinitely, however the highest fundraising winners will be determined at 4:00pm AEST 26 October 2024.
